Happy New Year!!! Sorry for the break. The Rockies were calling. The kids had never seen the mountains, so we headed west for X-mas. 18 inches of powder the night before we arrived and then a foot on X-mas morning! Reminded me of a winter I spent in Aspen back in the old days!

If you just add a few thousand feet of vertical, a few trees, a ridge or two of head-high bumps and a few movie stars, it could be Aspen! The sky is almost as blue!

Took 6 boys to Crystal Mt. on Sun……The conditions are downright nice for this time of year. It has been quite a few years since we’ve had consistent cold and snow this early. Great for the ski resorts…..

Taken about a week ago from the top of the dune climb…….I had to wait about 20 minutes for all of the tourists to clear from the picture! Ha!
