I have to comment. We have two cats, one whose silhouette is similar to your subject’s in this photo, and an abbyssinian who is a whole ‘nother species. I can feel the cat’s shivering from here. We live a half mile up the street from the St. Lawrence River, and spend summers at our cottage a half hour down stream where the view is in some regards similar to your landscapes, but in many ways, of course, not. I feel that your love of photography and my poetry somehow make us kindred spirits.
Yours is one of the few sites I have set up to read daily in Google Reader. You always post wonderfully composed and enticing photographs. Of course living where you do doesn’t hurt. I have clued several friends in to your site as well. Yours is a superb example of a delightful use of the Internet. Please keep posting.
Thanks……I sometimes wonder where I’m headed with my photography….I guess I enjoy getting out to explore this beautiful area and taking a camera along is a good excuse to wander! Keep up the writing…..It has always been a struggle for me.
