Hey Tom, My bet is that it is gone by spring…..That ice is pretty stubborn when it starts to break up in the spring. I’ve seen it take out our pilings from the old dock in front of the lodge. I’ll keep an eye out in the spring for an orange ball coming down the beach……

Hey, that’s my orange ball Actually, it is Ed’s orange ball, but he let us use it for the trampoline (which he gave us as well!). Will be interesting to see if it survives for forces of winter.

I climbed Whaleback, but from Lake Leelanau side. The trail up to the top is not bad and is a good heart workout. You would appreciate the waves today….

Don’t tell me you climbed Whaleback in the snow shoes? Tell me you were following the ridge or something like that. That’s a great shot that oozes winter and stillness.
