Hi All….Just returned from the annual road trip to FL.  Drove the folks down and flew back today.  My one full day in the sunshine state consisted of 56 deg. and cloudy!  I could have gotten that back here!  We did drive through the mess in VA and the Carolinas….Talk about rain!  The leaves have mostly fallen down and on Mon.  we will hit the rakes pretty hard.  My back is already aching.

I can’t believe fall has passed me by without a photo adventure!  I was out riding(bike) today and  passed by this group of trees and had to return.  The sun wasn’t cooperating, but such is life.

Looking for a quick getaway the other day….Headed to Whaleback with the little boat in a manageable 15 mph south wind.  About halfway there, the wind picked up along with the waves.  As I was nearing shore the engine quit on me and I had to make that decision…..You know, the Everest decision.  I’m so close to the summit but the weather and other factors are telling you to turn back.  I made it within 15 feet of shore in the growing waves and decided to turn back.  As I’m headed back south, the gusts were hitting 25-30 mph.  A couple of times the bow felt like it was going to fly into space.  Of course the engine starts cutting out on me and after getting it going a couple of times, it finally gave out on me.  Luckily only about a mile walk home.  Aaron and I cruised down in the jeep today with some new gas.  That didn’t do it, but I managed to limp home.  Just another Jolli adventure!

Old shot……  55 deg. and sun felt like the fall we didn’t have!  The other day the paper said that we have had the coldest Oct. since 1952!

It’s official….We are closed for the season.  The sign is down, the message on the answering machine has changed and we’ve gone from quiet to really quiet!  Thanks everyone for the continued support.  Despite  one of the coldest summers on record and a sluggish economy, you still found a way to visit.

I started out on a mt. bike ride on the beach today, but my eye caught this new little island…. I had to return with my camera to share it with everyone….39 deg. but sunny this afternoon.  Leaves are ok, but not quite peak yet.  Things are slow this year…..One more weekend and then the Jolli closes for the season.  We still have some rooms left, but only 1 apt. for next weekend.  Drop us a line…..

Ok, I got tired of sunsets and am boycotting all red sky like photos!  So, I needed some new material….I try not to embarrass my kids too much, but I am a parent and that’s our job.  Anyway, Aaron was the junior representative at homecoming a couple of weeks ago.  Wouldn’t you know the girl accompanying him is Erin!

I guess you could call it cold out there…..It was snowing a bit while I was riding my bike today!  44 deg. with a windchill  in the 3o’s.
